Five truck loads, around 21 metric tons of high energy biscuits worth Rs. 3.7 million were handed over by Continental Biscuits representative to to Mr. Tahir Nawaz of World Food Program and Mr. Adnan Zafar of Emergency Relief Unit, NWFP Government at Nowshera, NWFP on June 9, 2009. Over 2.4 million people have been displaced due to the recent military action against swat militants.

Speaking for the occasion, Mr. Hamid Ali Khan, Commercial Director explained that The need of the hour is “nutrition”. He explained that high energy biscuits enriched with mineral and proteins are the most suitable food product to deliver nutrition because of ease of delivery and consumption. Continental Biscuits is well placed to fulfill this need and are leading the initiative.
